GBO Shape

GBO SHAPE is a New division added to the 2019 season by the Global Bodybuilding Organization.
The SHAPE DIVISION attire: Two Piece Fashionable, Decorative Posing Suit, Clear High Heels and Jewelry ( same as Women's Beachbody)
The SHAPE DIVISION Judging: Criteria is based on presentation and individuality. Competitor's physique should display a firmness where the muscle bellies are slightly harder and rounder than seen in the Women's Beachbody division (ie. larger legs/glutes development and a defined core ), but not display the wide shoulders, round delts and lat development of a figure competitor or the muscle separation, definition, low body fat levels, dryness or density that is displayed in our Classic and Standard Bodybuilding division. SHAPE competitors will be judged during mandatory rounds in Symmetry, Muscularity, Conditioning and Stage Presentation. Assessing of the physique, judging criteria and rounds are the same as Women’s Beachbody. Vertical proportions (legs to upper body length) are one of the key factors. Horizontal proportions (hips and waist to shoulder width) may favor women with a bit bigger hips, thighs and buttocks.
SHAPE competitors will perform a "Box Walk" during the presentation round and during the comparison round they will follow the Head Judge's direction and execute front and back poses. Some shows may allow competitors to perform a 10-12 sec free posing routine.

Transformation Division

Transformation Division Before/After Photos: You will take your “Before” photos at the start of your program and upload them when you register. You’re “After” photos will be due one week before the competition date. On all of your front photos, you must hold a newspaper with a readable headline to authenticate the dates of the photos. The date of the photo (and newspaper) must be within 10 days of the date of your registration (Note: Magazines are not acceptable to verify photo dates.) Show as much of your physique as possible. Remember that you will be judged on the most dramatic change, so we must be able to see your body clearly (swim suits or gym trunks are strongly recommended.) Make sure when you take your pictures that you are as close as possible to the camera. (If your image is too small, we cannot judge your entire physique, nor can we see the newspaper headline.) If possible, have your “After” photos taken professionally. Your photos will count for 40% of your total score, so make sure they look good! Measurements: Finally, keep track of your body composition measurements. You will be asked to submit your beginning stats when you register. Weight is the only required form of measurements. However, we recommend tracking your progress using circumference measurements as well as an inbody scan, that you can obtain for free at 5 Star Nutrition. Whatever method you choose, be sure to stay consistent by choosing the same measurements each time, on the same day of the week around the same time of day. You will need to submit your “After” stats as well. After stats are due no later than one week prior to the event. At minimum, we will need to have a before/after weight measurement. Judging: Overall Transformation Stats – 40% Before and After Photos – 40% Stage presence:20% Round Format: * INDIVIDUAL PRESENTATION The competitor will be judged on presentation and poise in addition to before/after photos and stats. Your stage walk will be discussed at athletes meeting the evening before Max Muscle Classic. * GROUP COMPARISON– Transformation athletes will be asked to hit a front and back pose. * FINALS PRESENTATION– For the finals segment of the event, transformation athletes will be asked to get on stage. You will have up to 60 seconds to walk the stage as you choose, to best showcase your hard work. This may be a walk to display your physique, or movements to showcase your new found athleticism. Once all athletes have completed their walk, the top 5 athletes will be brought back on stage and presentation of awards will begin. Must be 18 years of age or over
